No new port readings have been published since the previous issue. The import-friction read at LA/Long Beach, NY/NJ and Savannah stands at Flowing at each complex, with ships-awaiting-berth counts and truck planning-time indexes each sitting near their trailing-12-month normals. The August-through-October peak season window is now open, when holiday inventory pull-forward typically lifts import volumes and can tighten berths and drayage windows.
- LA/Long Beach (Flowing): Ships awaiting berth at 1 vessel (MARAD and Marine Exchange), at the trailing-12-month normal of 1 ship, and truck PTI at 4.07 (BTS), at its trailing-12-month normal of 4.07.
- NY/NJ (Flowing): PTI at 3.82 (BTS), near its trailing-12-month normal of 3.97 (no public ship-queue series exists for NY/NJ).
- Savannah (Flowing): Ships awaiting berth at 2 vessels (MARAD), at the trailing-12-month normal of 2 ships.
- Loaded imports (latest available monthly): LA/Long Beach at 868,221 TEU (ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, near trailing-12-month normal of 831,195 TEU), NY/NJ at 400,995 TEU (Port Authority of NY/NJ, near normal of 372,973 TEU) and Savannah at 258,832 TEU (Georgia Ports Authority, near normal of 231,586 TEU).
Data note: Seven series including the East Coast, Gulf Coast, West Coast and all-US ship-queue aggregates have not updated in over two weeks and should be treated as stale. Monthly loaded-import TEU figures are the latest available releases and land weeks after the reporting month.
